my first solo in almost 12 months 💀💀💀 an its an XXL!!!!!! this has to be one of the longest solo projects ive worked on so far, period. it really just started off as a “oh ill just go with minimal visuals and focus on playability” layout which then turned into a “WHY ARE THERE 16000 OBJECTS” level. originally i really wanted to recreate the charm of girls like us, down to the gameplay and vibe, thats why the first few parts are quite reminiscent of the horizontal hallways with lyrics. but being exposed to so many new 2.2 techniques has hardwired my brain into trying to make ambitious gameplay while representing the repetitive nature of this song. i hope to have striked a balance between fun to watch AND fun to play. also this song is REALLY REALLY GOOD. when i started bumping rebecca black’s new album start of this year, this was the one song i thought would get on my nerves the more i replayed the album. now its probably the most played song in my spotify in 2025. its just so addictive, the verses are so sugary and sweet and the choruses abruptly turn into killer club music. i hope that the gameplay direction and visuals reflect that well here too. i also entered this layout into giggsrh and aconn’s anonymous layout contest and got 2nd!!! im really looking forward to getting merch from the wubba store as one of the rewards (thanks so much giggs and aconn ❤️) i think it was abit to obvious that it was me, but my inspirations for this layout include ph4lip and revv. special thaks to gyrodog for helping me record the anonymous lcc version of the layout (which got updated and i recorded the version youre seeing now) and also more thanks to vocabulary, revv, aragonite, and pludee for letting me show you previews for feedback and all 🙏🙏🙏 ID: 123308632 NONG: Rebecca Black - Sugar Water Cyanide https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jJhd1g-Mp4kH6eDGKyJRo_if1x0I9fYI/view?usp=drivesdk
